Purchased VPS and promotional servers cannot be switched to another plan. For a shorter initial commitment, CloudCone recommends starting with a monthly billing cycle.
CloudCone requires an initial balance matching the monthly estimate to deploy a Scalable Cloud Server. During creation, the server's cost is displayed both per hour and per month. The Create instance page lets you set the resources and configuration before deployment. This funding requirement applies even though ongoing SC2 usage is calculated hourly and billed monthly. A VPS or promotional server instead requires the full selected term's cost upfront, so the required amount depends on the service you order. Account funding is handled through Cloud Credits, with PayPal, AliPay and a linked card available for adding money. After setting the SC2 resources, operating system and hostname, the final creation button is called Deploy Server.
Yes, CloudCone accepts AliPay for adding the account credits used to pay for services. PayPal and a card on file are also supported funding methods. In the billing panel, open Add funds, enter the amount under AliPay and press Add to continue to AliPay for payment. Cloud Credits are the account balance used throughout CloudCone, so this funds the balance used for your server purchase. Paying an existing invoice is a separate step after adding enough funds to cover its amount due. The billing panel lets you select the invoices you want to pay from that balance. For that final invoice payment step, the green button is labelled Pay Selected.
CloudCone allows refund requests for available account funds within the payment gateway's permitted refund timeframe. When you cancel or destroy a Scalable Cloud Server, CloudCone charges for the hours used. The remaining funds become an available balance that can also cover upcoming bills. This balance refund route concerns unused SC2 funds; prepaid monthly and yearly service fees are non-refundable under CloudCone's terms. Licence fees, including cPanel fees, are also non-refundable, so they should be separated from any unused balance in your request. CloudCone requires cancellation through a billing-system ticket or the billing system's cancellation option. For a service with another billing date ahead, submit the cancellation at least 24 hours before that date.
CloudCone lists always-on DDoS protection as a paid option requiring an additional protected IP address. Its VPS service includes free on-demand protection at the network level, which differs from the paid always-on option.
