ProtonVPN Coupon & Promo Codes

How ProtonVPN coupon codes work

A ProtonVPN coupon code is entered at the checkout on account.proton.me. Choose a plan and a term, then look under the Summary sidebar, below the Confirm button: click "Add a gift code", paste the code and click Apply. The same field takes gift cards and discount codes, and the amount is deducted before you pay.

• Order of deductions: Proton takes credits, then the gift code, then any proration from an old plan off the new plan's price.
• First term only: 2-year plans are billed once for 24 months and then renew every 12 months at the regular price.
• Renewal price: renewals are charged at the price valid on the renewal date; cancel in the account dashboard before then.

Which ProtonVPN plan to use your coupon code on

Proton Free covers 1 device at medium speed in 5 random countries, with no card needed; the paid plans add the full network:

• VPN Plus: 10 devices, highest speed, 20,000+ servers in 140+ countries, streaming, ad and malware blocking.
• Proton Unlimited: VPN Plus plus Proton Mail, Calendar, Drive and Pass with 500 GB of storage.
• Proton Duo and Family: all Proton services for 2 people with 2 TB, or up to 6 people with 3 TB.

This is what each plan costs before a coupon, in US dollars, as listed in October 2026:

The 2-year VPN Plus plan is the cheapest way in at $3.49 a month, and a coupon comes off its $83.76 first payment. Proton's general pricing page shows the same plan at $119.76, so the amount in your checkout summary is the one that counts.

Why a ProtonVPN coupon code may not work

• The code went into the account's Gift code setting instead of the checkout: there it becomes credits for the next payment, not a discount on this order.
• The code is tied to a specific plan or term, like the student offer, which is valid on the 12-month plan only.
• The code was copied with a space before or after it.
• The code is not a Proton code: Proton only honours codes it issued itself, so use one from the list above.

Other ProtonVPN discounts

Students in the US, UK, France and Germany get 70% off VPN Plus on the 12-month plan through Student Beans: confirm your student status there, pick the Proton plan, and the discount is applied automatically at checkout. Registered nonprofits can ask Proton's sales team for reduced pricing on its business plans. There is no free trial for personal plans; Proton Free is the way to try the service, and the 2-year term carries the largest built-in discount, 65% off VPN Plus.

ProtonVPN refund policy

You can cancel within 30 days of your first purchase and get a full refund. Send the request through Proton's support form; both the cancellation and the request must be made inside the 30 days, and a refund is granted once per user, to the original payment method, within 30 days. Cash and bank-transfer payments are not refundable, and subscriptions bought through a third party follow that seller's policy.
