Yes, ArtStation requires an account for Marketplace purchases. If you do not have one, you are prompted to sign up before completing the purchase. Purchased files are stored in your Library, and an account is required to access them. ArtStation emails a temporary link to that Library rather than sending the purchased files as email attachments. After purchasing the discounted product, open the menu in the top right corner and select My Library. Your digital purchases are listed there, with each product opening a box containing links to view and download its assets. For the receipt for that discounted order, open Order History in your account.
You can request an ArtStation Marketplace refund from the seller within 21 days of purchase. The request starts with the specific product in your Order History. Click Request Refund, select a reason, add details and click Submit to notify the seller. The request then shows as pending, with an option to cancel it if you no longer need the refund. If the seller has not responded within three business days, contact ArtStation for the refund. Once accepted, bank processing can take up to 10 business days. Refunded downloads must be deleted and can no longer be used. Submit before the 21-day deadline, because the Request Refund button disappears after that window.
ArtStation lists Pro from $9.95 per month and Studio from $29.99 per month. These starting subscription amounts provide a comparison for an offer on the paid tier you intend to purchase. Pro includes advanced analytics, premium website themes and customization, and the ability to use your own separately purchased domain. Studio includes the Pro features and adds team members for managing the account, plus a listing in the Studios Directory. A Free edition is also available alongside the paid subscriptions. Match a Pro offer to Pro and a Studio offer to Studio when comparing the subscription you want. The subscription comparison has separate Choose this plan buttons for the paid tiers.
ArtStation allows full refund requests within 15 days of a Pro or Studio purchase or renewal. The Premium subscription policy covers both paid account types and offers the refund with no questions asked. To initiate that request, contact ArtStation Support within the 15-day window for the purchase or renewal concerned. Turning off automatic renewal is a separate account action that stops the next subscription charge. Cancellation leaves Premium features available until the subscription expires, after which the account returns to Free. Your projects remain when Premium features end. For a refund on the subscription bought with an offer, contact Support within 15 days rather than relying on cancellation alone.
An ArtStation global sale discount ends when its scheduled event finishes. ArtStation sets the event period, and sellers decide whether to participate. Each participating seller chooses the discount for their store and can change that amount between events. During the event, their products are displayed at discounted prices in the Marketplace sale listings. When the event ends, those products automatically return to their original prices. The event price therefore belongs to that particular sale period, rather than becoming the product's permanent price. Discounted products are grouped under the Sale tab on the Marketplace homepage, which becomes the default tab for visitors during the event.
No, tipping on ArtStation Marketplace products is optional. Buyers can leave a tip on either a free product or a paid product, so the tipping option is separate from whether the asset has a purchase price. ArtStation provides preselected tip amounts and also lets buyers enter a custom amount. A discounted paid asset still belongs to the paid product category for this tipping option. The feature is available on the community Marketplace rather than sellers' personal website stores. If you want to support the artist with an additional payment, the custom amount option lets you specify that contribution instead of choosing one of the preselected amounts.
The license attached to your selected ArtStation product variant defines its permitted uses. Sellers can offer variants with different prices, license types and files within the same product listing. A lower-priced variant can contain lower-resolution files, while another variant can include a different commercial license. For your discounted purchase, the End User License Agreement determines what you can do with those assets. If a product description contains restrictions that conflict with that agreement, the license agreement takes precedence. Sellers must select an appropriate agreement or provide their own. Match the variant to the license you need; the Marketplace license filters include Standard, Extended and Custom.
You can turn off automatic renewal for your ArtStation Pro subscription. Cancellation stops the next renewal while leaving your Premium features available until the subscription expires. From the avatar menu at the top right, go to My Pro Account, then Manage subscription, then Change Subscription. Select Turn off auto renew to cancel the automatic renewal. When the paid period ends, your account returns to Free and you are not charged again unless you resubscribe. Your projects remain in the account, although the Premium features end. Studio accounts use the same cancellation process. The final control for stopping the next charge is Turn off auto renew within Change Subscription.
ArtStation sets a $1 minimum price for paid products after sale discounts. That floor can reduce the percentage actually taken off an inexpensive product. For example, ArtStation explains that a $2 product offered at a 70% discount still costs $1, making the applied reduction 50%. The sale reduction therefore stops at the minimum transaction price rather than lowering that paid product below $1. Free products are separate and are not affected by Marketplace sales. Sellers can also offer variants of the same product with different prices, files and license types. When comparing an offer, match the selected variant and its license before calculating the reduction against the $1 floor.
Yes, applicable sales taxes and currency conversion fees can increase the cost of an ArtStation purchase. Sales tax depends on where you reside and is added during checkout after you enter your billing address. ArtStation lets you review the order including those taxes before entering payment details. Its buyer guidance lists prices in US dollars and explains that your bank or card company can charge a fee when converting the payment into local currency. Ask that financial institution about its conversion charge, since it controls that fee. For a business purchase, the checkout also provides a VAT number field; the number entered there will appear on your invoice.
