Question 1

Can I get a refund on a discounted ChemiCloud plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes, inside the money-back window. It is 45 days for Shared, Reseller, WordPress, Email, Python and Managed WordPress hosting, and 7 days for VPS Hosting. The countdown starts on the activation date of the account, not the order date. Only first-time accounts qualify. Additional services are outside the guarantee, and domain registrations, renewals and transfers are non-refundable. If the plan came with a free domain and you cancel inside the window, you are refunded 100% of your payment minus the regular rate of the domain registration or transfer. A breach of the terms voids the guarantee. VPS Hosting has the shortest window, so test a discounted VPS plan early.

Question 2

Can I try ChemiCloud Managed WordPress with a first-month offer instead of a coupon?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for $1. There is no free trial, but the first month starts at $1, backed by the 45-day money-back guarantee. The Tiny plan on monthly billing is $15 /mo after the $1 first month. Yearly billing is $12.50 /mo with 2 months free, billed $150 per year, which the page marks as a saving of $30. The plan cards also list a free domain on annual plans. The $1 offer sits on monthly billing, while the 2 months free belong to the yearly option, so the two do not describe the same purchase. Pick the billing option before you order.

Question 3

Which payment methods work for a discounted ChemiCloud plan?

Accepted Answer

Fees are paid in U.S. dollars by an accepted payment method: credit or debit card, PayPal, Stripe ACH/SEPA, Authorize.net, or another method ChemiCloud then accepts. Automatic renewal collection works only for credit cards stored on file. Every other method, for example PayPal one-time payments, must be initiated manually by you. That matters for a discounted plan because the promotional price covers the first term only, and the next invoice is at the regular rate. Taxes sit outside the fees. A card stored on file is the only method collected automatically at renewal, which makes it the simplest choice for a discounted plan.

Question 4

Is the ChemiCloud free domain discount applied automatically or with a coupon?

Accepted Answer

Automatically. The free domain discount is applied to your cart at checkout. The domain must be ordered during the initial sign-up, and unless otherwise specified the offer is valid for the first year only. After the first year, the domain renews at the regular rate. A free domain transfer works differently: it must be claimed within 30 days of hosting plan activation by submitting a request to the Billing department. As a benefit of that transfer, the existing expiration date of the domain is extended by one year. Promotions, coupons and special offers are the separate initial-term savings on the hosting itself.

Question 5

Can ChemiCloud raise the rate on my discounted plan after I order?

Accepted Answer

Prices can change, with notice. The price you order at is the pricing shown on chemicloud.com at the time of order, and ChemiCloud reserves the right to change prices or any other charges at any time. On annual or longer-term plans, at least thirty days' notice comes before any price change is charged. A discounted first term is not a locked rate for later terms. Renewal pricing is announced at least ten days before the payment due date for monthly, annual and longer-term plans, and the automatic billing runs seven days before that date for cards on file. An unexpected renewal can be refunded within 7 days on Shared Hosting and within 2 days on VPS Hosting.

Question 6

Does a ChemiCloud coupon carry over to renewals?

Accepted Answer

No. Promotional prices apply only to the first term of the service, and renewals are billed at the then-current standard rate unless the promotional terms expressly say otherwise. Special offers are valid for the initial term only, not for recurring or renewal periods. A promotional rate on Shared, WordPress, Reseller or VPS hosting renews automatically after the initial term at the regular rate found in your control panel. The Reseller Hosting page prints a $34.95/mo renewal rate and adds that the first term costs less. Cancelling before the charge stops the renewal, and a cancellation request goes through the form inside the client area.

Question 7

Are ChemiCloud promotional offers only for new customers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Special offers are promotional prices available to new customers, and they are valid for the Initial Term only. The refund rules follow the same line: only first-time accounts are eligible for a refund. Someone who had an account before, cancelled and signed up again is not eligible, and neither is someone who opened a second account. The same applies to a second service similar to one that is already active in the account. So a coupon used on a repeat signup does not come with the money-back protection a first-time account gets. Work out which account the discounted plan will sit on before you order.

Question 8

Which ChemiCloud plans accept a coupon or promotional rate?

Accepted Answer

Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Reseller Hosting and VPS Hosting. These are the plans on which promotional rates apply, and each rate renews at the regular price after the initial term. Shared Hosting is sold as Starter, Pro and Turbo, and its selector lists Triennially, Annually and Monthly terms. A plan can show Not Available on a term it does not sell, and the page then asks for a different billing cycle. Managed WordPress runs on its own entry offer instead: $1 for the first month on monthly billing. Choose the plan family first, because a promotional rate belongs to that plan and its initial term.

Question 9

Which billing term earns the ChemiCloud free domain discount?

Accepted Answer

The pages disagree, so check the term you plan to buy. A 36-month hosting plan earns either a complimentary domain registration for one year or a free domain transfer, according to the free domain terms. On Managed WordPress, any hosting plan with a 12-month billing cycle gets a free domain for one year, and the plan cards label the benefit Free Domain (Annual Plans). Reseller Hosting names a 12-month term or longer. In every version the domain is free for the first year only. The domain must be ordered during the initial sign-up, and it renews at the regular rate after that.

Question 10

Which refund options apply after an unexpected renewal of a promotional ChemiCloud plan?

Accepted Answer

Two: a partial refund or account credit, both inside a short window. Cancel the service first, then submit a Billing ticket within the refund window after the renewal date. That window is 7 days for Shared, WordPress, Reseller and Managed WordPress hosting, and 2 days for VPS Hosting. Renewals on monthly billing cycles are non-refundable. You get a choice between two forms of refund: a partial refund to the original payment method with a 10% deduction for transaction and manual-processing fees, or a full refund as account credit that never expires. After the window closes, the partial monetary refund is no longer available. The request starts with the cancellation, so the Billing ticket follows it.

Question 11

Does ChemiCloud accept promo codes as well as coupons?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A ChemiCloud coupon and a promo code are the same thing: paste the code in the promo field at checkout before you pay.
