Yes. Moving from monthly to annual takes effect immediately, the full annual price is charged and the billing cycle resets. The reverse is slower: annual to monthly happens after the annual period ends, so you cancel the renewal and purchase monthly. Annual billing is the term that carries the lower monthly rate, for example Starter at €10 per seat/mo, billed annually. Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly starting from the day you subscribe. Upgrading to a higher plan is immediate: the credit allowance increases to the new plan's limit right away, and any credits you've already used are counted against the new limit.
Larger Extra Credits purchases are discounted. Discounts start at $50, grow with the size of the purchase and stop above $2,000, and you still receive the full credit value. A cap of $2,000 of discounted purchases applies per billing cycle, and it works all or nothing per purchase: after $1,800 bought at a discount, a $200 purchase is still discounted but a $500 purchase is not. Discount rates can differ between accounts, and the purchase screen shows your exact discount before you pay. Purchases that never earned a discount don't use the allowance, and it resets with your billing cycle.
Cancelling stops the auto-renewal but does not end the plan immediately: all plan benefits stay available until the end of the billing period already paid for. After that the account moves to the Free plan, and any remaining credits from the previous plan expire, including purchased add-on credits. Cancelling does not trigger a refund; it only prevents the next charge. Subscriptions cannot be paused today. The alternative is to downgrade to Free and re-upgrade later, and the workspace and projects stay intact on the Free plan. A downgrade also waits: the current subscription plan stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, then the account moves to the lower plan and the credit allowance adjusts to the new plan's limit.

The charge is retried a few times over the following days. If it still fails, the account is downgraded to the Free plan and any unused paid credits expire. The Terms add a safeguard: access to paid features can be suspended or downgraded after a failed or delayed payment, but only after reasonable notice and an opportunity to update your payment details. Re-subscribe any time to restore access. Two errors on the payments help page matter at renewal: 3D Secure failed means the bank's extra verification step didn't complete, and card declined means the bank declined the charge because of insufficient funds, a fraud check or an expired card.

Credits bought through Extra Credits work differently: they last 12 months from the purchase date, but they expire with your current subscription if it ends. If the subscription is cancelled, remaining plan credits expire, add-on credits included.

The same payment method is charged unless you cancel before the renewal date, and an email reminder arrives before that date. Subscription prices can change: a new price takes effect from the next renewal period after reasonable advance notice, and a buyer who disagrees with it should cancel before it takes effect.
