Eligible products and services

Service categories frequently on promotion

Match a BigWetFish offer to its hosting category. Business Hosting, Reseller Hosting and Enterprise Hosting have separate plan ranges. The reseller range includes Multisite hosting and Fully Managed VPS plans.

Services usually excluded from promo codes

BigWetFish's hosting terms set no category-wide promo-code exclusions for Business Hosting, Reseller Hosting or Enterprise Hosting.

Factors influencing the final discount value

Impact of billing cycle on promotional price

Annual WordPress Management costs £119.90 plus VAT, against £11.99 plus VAT on monthly billing. Both schedules buy the same managed service. Hosting is charged separately.

Promo codes vs. automatically applied offers

The WordPress Management annual saving comes from selecting annual billing. That price is presented as a billing option, without a promo-code requirement.

BigWetFish Discount FAQs

The Enhance Lite plan costs £9.99 monthly, and the Business plan costs £19.99 monthly. Neither includes a domain name. Lite buys hosting for one website plus a staging website, with one business-grade email account and 20 GB of disk space. Business also covers one website and staging, but includes five email accounts and 40 GB of disk space. Both are separate order options in the Enhance hosting range.
Standalone email hosting requires annual payment. The 8 GB mailbox costs £24 plus VAT per year, while the 25 GB option costs £36.99 plus VAT and the 50 GB option costs £66 plus VAT. The smallest mailbox excludes Calendar and Tasks; those are included with the two larger options. Email can be bought alongside BigWetFish web hosting or as a standalone service when your website is hosted elsewhere.
Additional business-class email addresses on the Business Enhance plans cost £1.50 per month each. That add-on applies across Business Starter, Business Pro, WordPress Optimised and Managed Private Server. Standalone email has different paid extras: raising the daily sending allowance from 250 to 1,000 emails costs £0.40 monthly per mailbox. Security Archive is another monthly add-on, and restoring mail from Backup and Mail Time Machine carries an additional fee.
Multisite 20 costs £29.95 monthly, Multisite 40 costs £49.95, and Multisite 60 costs £69.95. Spam filtering changes the package total: Multisite 20 charges an extra £2 per month per domain for its spam filter. Multisite 40 includes ten SpamExperts accounts, while Multisite 60 includes twenty. These packages cover 20, 40 and 60 cPanel domains respectively, with daily backups included across all three reseller hosting options.
Fully Managed Cloud costs £109.95 monthly. The two Enterprise dedicated-server options cost £159.95 and £199.95 monthly. The cloud package includes 50 SpamExperts accounts and hosting for 100 cPanel domains. The lower-priced dedicated option provides email on request and a choice of control panel. The higher-priced dedicated option includes unlimited email addresses, 50 SpamExperts accounts and remote access. Customised backups are included in all three Enterprise packages.
No. Website redesigns, new functionality, content entry and development work are separate unless specifically agreed with BigWetFish. The management subscription instead includes weekly plugin updates, Patchstack virtual patching, Monarx protection and WP Umbrella management. It also adds up to 50 days of WordPress-specific recovery points covering files and the database. Activation is arranged through a support ticket identifying the WordPress website to be managed, with setup and configuration handled by BigWetFish.
Yes, the guarantee covers the first 30 days of shared and reseller service. A refund request must be sent in writing by email from the address registered on the account and must request discontinuation of the service. Shared hosting receives a full refund minus domain-name fees. For an unhappy reseller customer, one month's subscription is refunded on request at cancellation. Adult websites are prohibited and termination for that reason carries no refund.
BigWetFish accepts bank transfer, Direct Debit, credit or debit card, PayPal and cheques. Direct Debit is available to customers with UK bank accounts through GoCardless. Setup is requested through a support ticket for the specific product in the client area. A new product needs its own setup request rather than inheriting the arrangement automatically. An email arrives three days before collection, and the mandate can be cancelled through internet banking.
Change the payment method away from Credit Card or delete the saved card in your client area. A stored card is charged automatically when an invoice becomes due if Credit Card is the selected payment method. The accounting team can also change that setting or remove the card through a helpdesk ticket. PayPal subscriptions have a separate cancellation route through PayPal's Recurring Payments Dashboard; BigWetFish accounting can cancel those subscriptions on request too.
Yes, VAT is added where applicable at checkout; advertised website prices exclude it. The checkout invoice shows the complete cost before payment. Customers whose location does not require VAT can receive an invoice without it. Eligible EU business customers can provide their EU VAT number for invoicing exclusive of VAT. BigWetFish's accounting team handles questions about that treatment, so business billing details matter when the final invoice is generated.
