Coursebox advertises two months free for yearly billing, with annual fees paid in advance. Using the same account email is the documented step for changing an existing subscription.
Coursebox does not grant refunds for a change of mind. Monthly and annual subscriptions are paid in advance, and partial use does not qualify when the services were available. Its refund policy also excludes preference mismatches and requests based on features that were not advertised. Customers may be entitled to remedies under Australian Consumer Law when a service is faulty, not as described or fails consumer guarantees. Coursebox Pro + LMS includes one admin seat, with additional seats purchased separately. Anyone who creates or edits courses or manages grades counts as an admin, while learners have unlimited access without per-learner fees. Extra seats can be added at checkout or later through Payments, and each additional seat brings a full AI credit allowance. To add one through the subscription portal, open your active plan under Manage Subscriptions, then select Add Addons on the Subscription Details screen. Select Additional Admin Seat, click Add, and review the updated subscription price before confirming with Update Subscription. You can add seats to Pro or Pro + LMS without changing your base plan. The subscription portal displays the current charge for each add-on.
Selecting yearly billing gives Coursebox's advertised two-month saving compared with monthly billing. The annual subscription is paid in advance, rather than through separate monthly payments. On the pricing page, the billing selector is labelled Yearly (2 months free), beside Monthly. Select the annual option before choosing the paid plan you want to purchase. Creator and Pro + LMS have different features and AI allowances, so the selected plan determines what comes with that annual payment. Cancelling a self-serve Coursebox subscription stops future billing. Your account stays active, but courses are unpublished and learners are unenrolled when the subscription ends. Open Settings, then Account, and select the grey Cancel Plan button under Subscription before confirming the cancellation. A branded portal follows the same initial steps, with an additional screen guiding the rest of the process. Enterprise purchases follow their signed agreement and its minimum two-year initial term instead. Monthly and annual fees are paid in advance, and cancellation is separate from a refund request. Exported dynamic SCORM courses and LTI connections require an active subscription, while downloaded PDF and HTML exports remain yours. Self-hosted SCORM exports continue working independently after cancellation.
Coursebox's Free plan lets you try the course builder without a credit card. It includes three AI-generated mini courses with up to five pages per course, plus unlimited learners. The pricing page's Start free option begins with a one-time allowance of 150 AI page credits, two AI images and 100 AI tutor messages. You also receive one minute of AI video and ten voice minutes. Free courses display a Created with Coursebox watermark, which any paid plan removes. The Free allowance does not reset, so it is distinct from the recurring credits included in paid subscriptions. Coursebox includes unlimited learners on every plan without per-learner fees. That applies to Free as well as paid plans, so learner numbers are separate from the admin seats used to create courses. Creator includes one admin seat, and Pro + LMS also starts with one. Additional course creators or editors on Pro and Pro + LMS need paid admin seat add-ons, with each extra seat adding a full AI credit allowance. Those additions can be purchased at checkout or through the subscription portal without changing the base plan. To review an add-on purchase, open the active subscription, select Add Addons, and review the updated price before confirming. The specific add-on for another course creator is labelled Additional Admin Seat.
Coursebox offers subscription pauses of one, two or three months. Pausing stops billing and preserves your courses for the selected pause period, providing an option when you need a temporary break. In Settings, open Account and click Cancel Plan under Subscription; that first click does not immediately cancel the subscription. Select Pause, choose the number of months, and confirm. Coursebox does not offer an indefinite pause, so the available break has a maximum length of three months. To reactivate a paused subscription yourself, click Upgrade in the top bar, select Resume Subscription, and confirm reactivation. While a subscription is paused, course purchase buttons can display Resume instead of Paid or Buy Now. The documented pause choices are specifically 1, 2 or 3 months.
Coursebox's yearly plans provide annual AI allowances alongside the two-month saving. Creator includes 6,000 AI page credits, 240 AI images, 12,000 AI tutor messages, 60 AI video minutes and 600 voice minutes per year.
