The free plugin can be installed through your WordPress dashboard: open Plugins, select Add New, search for Poptics, then select Install Now and Activate. Aethonic also provides a downloadable plugin installation route through FTP or SFTP, using your host, username, password and port details.
Yes. Upgrading from Poptics Free to Pro preserves your existing settings and popups. The Pro plugin installs over the free version, so you do not need to uninstall that version first. In WordPress, Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin accepts the purchased Pro zip file. Installation is followed by activation of the Pro plugin. Licence activation then enables automatic updates and premium support.
Your Aethonic Poptics Pro purchase is delivered as a downloadable installation file, with account credentials sent by email after payment. The purchase confirmation email also contains your licence key. Open aethonic.com/purchase-history and sign in with the emailed credentials. In the Pro Downloads section, click Download to save the Pro version zip file. After installing and activating Poptics Pro, go to Poptics > Settings > License, enter the emailed key and click Activate License.
Your Aethonic account dashboard provides the licence key and purchase receipts. It also lets you manage your account after ordering. The Pro plugin must be activated before its licence is activated. Copying the account key into Poptics > License connects the purchased licence to the plugin. Once activated, the plugin provides automatic update notices when an updated version of Poptics Pro is released.
Poptics requires WordPress 5.2 or higher and PHP 5.6 or higher. The installation requirements also specify a PHP memory limit of 512 MB and a maximum execution time of 600. Hosting that fails WordPress requirements is excluded from refund coverage, as is a host refusing to update PHP or MySQL. A manual installation uploads the extracted plugin folder into the site's wp-content/plugins directory.
A separate paid OpenAI API key is required for that integration. The connection requires Poptics, Poptics Pro and the integration add-on included with the plugin bundle. The key is created in the provider account and connected through Poptics > Settings > Integrations > OpenAI. An unpaid key does not work. The connected service generates campaign categories, text, images and complete campaigns, which remain editable manually.
