How the Gate referral code works
The Gate referral code is for an invited friend who is joining Gate. Gate's referral event pays the friend token voucher rewards once all of the event's tasks are completed: identity verification, a deposit kept for at least 2 hours, and the designated trading tasks.
The size of the reward is set by Gate's current event terms, so read them on Gate's referral page before you register.
Gate referral code and spot fees
Gate's fee page lists the VIP0 spot rate as 0.1% for makers and takers, or 0.09% when GT Deduction is used to pay spot fees. A token voucher is a reward credited after the tasks, so it is separate from those rates.
Why a Gate referral code may not work
Gate states that if your identity has already gone through verification, the verification task is deemed invalid. Token vouchers must be activated within 14 days of credit, and rewards are reviewed and distributed within 14 working days after you request the claim.
Gate lists GateCode transfers, debit or credit card deposits (including Card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, SEPA, PIX and Bank Transfer) and Gift Coins as deposits that do not count. The event excludes residents of Belgium, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, Austria, South Korea and other restricted regions, and its rewards cannot be combined with other referral events.
Other Gate fee reductions
Gate's fee page lists VIP0 to VIP16 tiers based on 30-day trading volume, and GT Deduction, which uses GT first to pay trading fees once enabled. Gate's sign-up page also shows a general welcome package of task rewards for verification, a first deposit, a first trade and an app download. The page does not describe that package as part of the referral program.
Before using a Gate referral code
Gate's menus list spot, margin, futures, CFD, stocks and P2P trading, with a Help Center and ticket support. Its signup page showed a prompt to switch to the EU site when it was opened from an EU location. Gate's pages show a Licenses link but no licence wording, so read Gate's legal pages for the entity serving your country. This page is not investment advice.

The code goes in during signup, before your Gate account is created. Copy it here, then paste it in the signup form.

- Reveal and copy it
Click "Get Code". A new tab opens with a popup showing the code, and your first tab moves on to Gate. Click the copy icon to copy it.
- Paste it during signup
On Gate's signup form, paste the code in the referral-code field, before you create your account. It usually can't be added afterwards.
Gate Referral Code FAQ
Gate lists an identity verification task, a deposit task where the deposit is kept for at least 2 hours, and a trading task completed in the app. All the tasks must be completed for the vouchers to be earned.
