How the HTX referral code works
HTX's referral page gives each referrer a referral link, a referral code and a QR code to share. A new user registers with the code, and the account is then linked to that referral program.
The referral page describes how referrers share their link, code or QR code. It does not list a fixed reward for the invited user, so what a new account receives depends on HTX's current referral rules.
HTX referral code and spot fees
HTX's fee page lists the base Prime0 spot rate as 0.2000% for makers and takers, or 0.15000% when fees are paid with HTX, shown as 25% off in fees if paid with HTX. Prime levels are set by 30-day spot volume, futures volume or assets, and HTX states that the Prime rates apply to all users of the platform.
The fee table does not mention a referral code, so treat the fee reductions as separate from the code.
Why an HTX referral code may not work
HTX's referral page does not say whether a code can be added after registration, whether verification is required, or which regions are excluded. If a reward does not appear, read the current referral rules on HTX and contact HTX's Help Center for your account.
Other HTX fee reductions
Paying fees with HTX gives the 25% reduction on the Prime0 rate, and higher Prime levels lower the rates further. HTX's fee page also shows an HTX deduction option for spot fees.
Before using an HTX referral code
HTX lists spot, futures, margin, earn and loan products, and its homepage mentions 600+ altcoins. It states that reserves are held at a 1:1 ratio with regular Proof of Reserves reports, that it uses cold, hot, warm and multi-party offline wallets, and that it offers multi-factor authentication. On HTX's signup form, paste the code in the referral-code field, before you create your account. It usually can't be added afterwards.
