A discounted Yoast SEO subscription renews when its current term expires. Automatic renewal charges the payment method used for the previous purchase, and Yoast sends a reminder two weeks beforehand. The renewal date appears as next billing in MyYoast. Payment details can be changed through Subscriptions, then Manage, followed by Switch payment method under Subscription actions. The available payment methods depend on your country, and changing the method requires completing checkout. Yoast charges a minimum validation fee of 10 cents excluding VAT for the new payment method. For a replacement card or another payment option, complete that checkout through Switch payment method before the renewal payment is due.
Yoast SEO Premium costs $118.80 per year before a discount, excluding VAT. That price covers the annual WordPress subscription, including Local SEO, News SEO and Video SEO. The Buy product button in Plans and pricing starts the purchase for Premium. Its package also includes full access to Yoast SEO Academy and support available 24/7, so those are part of the subscription rather than separate purchases. One Google Docs add-on seat is included with Premium, while additional seats cost $5 each per month excluding VAT. The annual Premium price and the monthly charge for extra Google Docs seats are separate amounts. For one Google Docs user, activate the included seat through MyYoast instead of purchasing an additional seat.
Yoast SEO Premium includes one Google Docs add-on seat at no extra charge. The included access is linked to one Google account through MyYoast, and the add-on requires a Google account. To activate it, open Subscriptions in MyYoast, select Manage and open Yoast SEO Google Docs add-on under Included in this subscription. Link your primary Google account and confirm the connection through the email Yoast sends. Then install Yoast SEO Content Analyses from the Google Workspace Marketplace and grant the requested permissions. In a Google document, the add-on opens through Extensions and Start. When installing with several Google accounts available, select the same account you linked to the included subscription seat.
You may terminate your Yoast SEO agreement if its price increases within three months of purchase. Yoast announces price changes in advance, and this termination condition applies to increases within that purchase window. For a WordPress subscription, cancellation is managed in MyYoast rather than by removing the plugin. Open Subscriptions, find the relevant subscription and select Manage. Under Subscription actions, select Cancel subscription, choose the quantity to cancel and select Confirm cancellation. A cancelled subscription remains active for the rest of its subscription period. The quantity selector starts at zero, so it needs the number of subscriptions you intend to cancel before you confirm the request.
A previous Yoast SEO discount does not entitle you to another discount at renewal. Yoast determines discount eligibility separately for renewals and further purchases. If you change from Premium to a larger package, the subscription renews automatically at the price of that new package. An upgrade keeps your original subscription end date and charges the price difference for the time remaining. For example, a Premium subscription with three months left incurs only three months of the difference when upgraded to WooCommerce SEO. That prorated upgrade charge is separate from the amount for the next full subscription term. When budgeting for an upgrade, use the unchanged subscription end date to identify when the new package's renewal becomes due.
An eligible first Yoast SEO purchase qualifies for a full initial-payment refund within 30 days. The initial-purchase refund policy excludes renewals, upgrades and subsequent charges. To request the refund, complete Yoast's refund form and briefly explain why the service did not meet your expectations. The refund concerns the payment you made for that initial purchase. Bundle upgrades have a separate rule: you can request a downgrade within 30 days of the upgrade. That rule applies only to the first upgrade to each bundle, and an expired initial-purchase refund window does not reopen. For an initial-payment refund, submit the refund form within 30 days of the original purchase.
Cancel your Yoast SEO WordPress subscription in MyYoast before the next billing day starts. Cancellation leaves the subscription active for the remainder of its paid period. In MyYoast, open Subscriptions and select Manage beside the subscription you want to cancel. Under Subscription actions, select Cancel subscription to reach the confirmation step. Choose the quantity you want to cancel and press Confirm cancellation; the quantity defaults to zero. The subscription status then changes to Pending-cancel, which confirms that cancellation succeeded. If you later want to reactivate the cancelled subscription, Yoast directs you to its support team. After submitting the request, look for Pending-cancel in MyYoast as the confirmation of cancellation.
Yoast SEO's advertised subscription prices exclude VAT. Applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated automatically from the address entered during purchase. At checkout, EU customers select their country and whether they are buying as a person or a company. Selecting company provides a place to enter a VAT number, which appears on the invoice. A valid VAT number prevents VAT being charged for qualifying EU company purchases, with an exception for customers in the Netherlands. Dutch customers pay VAT because Yoast is based there, and UK purchases are subject to UK VAT. For an eligible EU company purchase, select company at checkout before entering the business VAT number.
Both Yoast SEO for Shopify plans include a 14-day free trial. After the trial ends, billing follows the plan and monthly or annual cycle you selected. The standard Yoast SEO for Shopify plan costs $19 per 30 days excluding VAT, and the annual option provides 12 months for the price of 10. Your payment uses the same payment method as your Shopify account, and the subscription renews automatically until cancelled. Each subscription covers one Shopify store. Cancellation requires correctly uninstalling the app, while invoices are available through Shopify Settings under Billing. For a trial you do not intend to continue, complete the app's uninstall process before the 14-day trial ends.
