Question 1

How does the Server Management addon renew on a discounted Shockbyte plan?

Accepted Answer

It renews at the end of each billing period. Server Management only applies to the service it is ordered for and cannot be moved to a different service. If a Server Management request has been fulfilled, Shockbyte cannot issue a refund for this addon or any related service, and the 72 hour refund on the plan becomes void. Configuration for permissions, ranking and kit plugins is not covered. Building worlds, maps and structures is not covered either, and neither is in-game setup of any plugins or modifications. All management requests must be made through a ticket opened under your client account, and Shockbyte reserves the right to deny any request.

Question 2

How do I cancel a Shockbyte server bought with a promo code and stop PayPal payments?

Accepted Answer

Submit a cancellation for the service from the Shockbyte client area. A PayPal subscription is separate, so cancel it yourself as well. Shockbyte does not have access to your PayPal account and is not responsible for incidental payments made through the automatic payment subscription service. Scheduled payments are associated with your account and not with any individual service. If you want money back, include the refund request inside the cancellation submission. All refund requests remain subject to the refund policy, and the 72 hours are counted until the cancellation is submitted. Support can help if you need assistance with the cancellation.

Question 3

What happens when a server bought with a Shockbyte promo code is not renewed on time?

Accepted Answer

You get a one (1) day grace period. During it you can pay the overdue invoice without disruption or penalty. Beyond it, the service is suspended until it is paid for. After thirty (30) days without payment, the service is terminated and your files are deleted from Shockbyte's servers. Payments made for the renewal of services are not eligible for the 72 Hour Refund Policy. The pricing page labels the plan discount RECURRING. The Server Management addon, if you ordered it, must be renewed at the end of each billing period, and it only applies to the service it was ordered for.

Question 4

How do I submit a Shockbyte refund request after a promo code order?

Accepted Answer

Through a refund request while logged into your client account. A request sent while logged out cannot be accepted as a refund request. The terms name two routes: one passage says all refund requests must be made via a ticket on the website, another says they must be submitted via a cancellation request on the website. Shockbyte asks why you want to cancel, and the reason does not change eligibility. It then asks you to confirm the request before a refund is issued. If you fail to confirm within 48 hours of its request, eligibility to claim the 72 hour refund is lost.

Question 5

Does the Shockbyte 30% discount apply to every Minecraft plan size?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every Minecraft plan row shows 30% OFF RECURRING. Dirt with 1GB RAM lists at $3.99, Sand with 2GB RAM at $7.99, Iron with 4GB RAM at $15.99 and Gold with 5GB RAM at $19.99. Diamond with 7GB RAM lists at $27.99, Emerald with 8GB RAM at $31.99 and Obsidian with 9GB RAM at $35.99. Spartan with 10GB RAM lists at $39.99 and Zeus with 12GB RAM at $47.99. The Custom plan covers 17GB+ RAM and lists at $67.83. Cobblestone is the plan marked Most Popular, and Redstone is marked Best Value. Shockbyte points to separate budget Minecraft plans for a cheaper option.

Question 6

Which billing terms carry a Shockbyte discount on Minecraft plans?

Accepted Answer

Annually and Quarterly. Annually shows -50% OFF and Quarterly -10% OFF next to Monthly on the term selector. Each plan row adds 30% OFF RECURRING beside its price, from the Dirt plan with 1GB RAM at $3.99 up to the Zeus plan with 12GB RAM at $47.99. The Cobblestone plan with 3GB RAM, marked Most Popular, lists at $11.99, and the Redstone plan with 6GB RAM, marked Best Value, at $23.99. The Spartan plan with 10GB RAM lists at $39.99. The Custom plan starts at 17GB+ RAM and lists at $67.83 with the same tag. Services are not activated until the first payment is received.

Question 7

Does a payment dispute affect a Shockbyte server bought with a discount?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any chargeback or payment dispute results in immediate account suspension, and Shockbyte reserves the right to suspend any and all of the client's services. A dispute also voids eligibility for the 72 Hour Refund Policy. If the client has opened a dispute on any transaction, refunds are provided only at Shockbyte's discretion and not under the refund policy. Contact support first if there is a problem with a discounted order, since support is willing to help sort things out. The 72 hour refund policy only covers the first 72 hours after a new plan commences. Refunds go back as credit or through the original payment method, at Shockbyte's discretion.

Question 8

Can I get a refund on a server bought with a Shockbyte promo code?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within the first 72 hours of ordering a new service. Each client can claim the 72 Hour Refund Policy once, and the 72 hours run from the order until the cancellation is submitted. The terms word the window in two ways. One passage covers the first 72 hours of ordering a new service. Another covers the first 72 hours of a monthly plan commencing, and says refunds beyond that period are given solely at Shockbyte's discretion. The reason you give for the refund does not affect eligibility. A payment made for the renewal of a service cannot be refunded, and the 72 Hour Refund Policy only covers the first 72 hours after a new plan commences.

Question 9

Can account credit pay for a discounted Shockbyte server?

Accepted Answer

Yes, account credit can be used for future renewals or purchases with Shockbyte. Credit is non-refundable and non-withdrawable. Shockbyte also lets you set up scheduled payments that add credit to your account automatically at the frequency you choose. Those scheduled payments, such as a PayPal subscription, are associated with your account and not with any individual service. An overpayment, which occurs when an invoice is paid multiple times, is added to the account as credit of the same value. When a payment method cannot support refunds, as determined by the payment gateway, the refund is issued as account credit instead. The referral reward also arrives as account credit.

Question 10

What does the Shockbyte referral offer pay on a discounted server?

Accepted Answer

$4 USD in account credit for each side. Both the referrer and the referee receive it 7 days after service activation, provided the service is not refunded or cancelled. The referee has 30 days after accepting the invitation to order an eligible service, and an eligible service is a service on the new Control Panel. The referee must be invited using a referrer's unique invite link, found on the referrals page. Both sides can check the status of a referral at panel.shockbyte.com/referrals. The program rewards users for inviting friends to create new services. Shockbyte reserves the right to modify or terminate the referral program at any time.

Question 11

Is a Shockbyte coupon the same as a promo code?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Shockbyte uses one promo code field at checkout, so a coupon and a promo code work the same way: paste the code there before you pay.
