Prepaid terms. ControlVM’s cart offers monthly billing for one month, quarterly billing for three months and semi-annual billing for six months. Annual billing covers 12 months, biennial billing covers 24 months and triennial billing covers 36 months. The selected billing cycle matches the contracted service term, and accounts are paid in advance.

New hosting plans are not currently available in the public ordering cart. Existing infrastructure services remain operational during the transition, including standard and custom Cloud Servers, VPS, Dedicated Servers, Colocation and associated Server Management. Customers are responsible for completing their transition before those services are decommissioned. Server instances, storage volumes, backups, snapshots and associated hosted data will then be permanently deleted and unrecoverable. Uncollected colocated devices will also be disposed of without further notice.
Yes, annual shared-hosting subscriptions extending beyond the discontinuation date qualify for a pro-rated refund, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. The refund covers the unused portion of the subscription period. This arrangement applies to the shared-hosting portfolio: Cloud Hosting, Elastic Web Hosting and Email Hosting. Refund enquiries go through a support ticket in the Client Portal. After completing the transition, customers can also notify support through the portal or by email for assistance with account closure.
Active annual infrastructure subscriptions extending beyond service discontinuation may qualify for a pro-rated refund. Eligibility remains subject to the applicable terms and conditions, and the amount relates to the unused subscription period. The infrastructure closure covers Cloud Servers with standard or custom specifications, VPS, Dedicated Servers, Colocation and associated Server Management. Customers can open a support request in the Client Portal for refund enquiries. During the transition, ControlVM continues to provide reasonable assistance with service information needed for migration planning.
Yes. The account renews automatically for the same contracted length. Renewal invoices are issued 14 days in advance and must be paid in full before the first day of the new service period. ControlVM reserves the right to change prices unless other terms have been agreed. Account holders remain responsible for service fees, bandwidth charges, surcharges and other charges incurred through their accounts; those amounts are included in the contracted-term billing statement.
Submit the service cancellation request in the Client Area at least five days before the next service period. Cancellation requests by email or support ticket are not accepted for this process. Customers remain responsible for money owed from account establishment until they notify ControlVM through the Client Area. Advance payments for unused periods are ordinarily neither pro-rated nor refunded on cancellation. The general agreement also has a separate end-of-term termination clause requiring at least 30 days’ written notice.
ControlVM supports PayPal, Alipay, Grabpay and credit cards through PayPal or Stripe, alongside bank payment options. The payment notification form also names Maybank2U, Hong Leong Bank, AmBank, Affin Bank, RHB Bank, Public Bank, CIMB Bank, bank cheque and telegraphic transfer. Payments are in Malaysian ringgit or US dollars. A payment notification includes the payment date and proof of payment; accepted proof formats are PDF, PNG, JPEG and JPG, with a maximum file size of 10 MB.
An overdue account can be suspended, and an account not brought current before deactivation incurs a 1% late charge per invoice. Charges continue during an interruption caused by late payment. Reactivation costs USD30 for Cloud Server or VPS services, USD60 for Colocation or Dedicated Server services, and USD10 for Shared or Reseller Hosting. Other charges associated with the late payment or violation can also apply. A suspension arising from an overdue invoice can affect the entire account across its services.
Only shared web or email hosting qualifies, within 30 days of service activation. The guarantee allows cancellation with 100% of the fees for resources used returned during that window. Domain purchases, SSL Certificates, software licences including control panels, Cloud Servers, VPS, Dedicated Servers, Server Colocation and custom services are excluded from this guarantee. A USD10 administration fee applies whenever a refund is involved. Server purchases therefore have different refund conditions from eligible shared-hosting purchases.
Domain registration payments are non-refundable, and software licences are billed monthly without a standard refund. Domain charges are due on registration, and a requested domain name is subject to availability at the time of registration. A licence remains active even when its associated service is cancelled within the first 30 days. For customers who have retained services for one year and prepaid, unused full months of paid licence fees can be refunded upon request. Setup fees are also non-refundable.
Yes. Bandwidth beyond the plan allowance is billed at $0.50 per GB per month, and backup service can carry an extra cost. Overages for VPS, Cloud Server, Dedicated Server and Colocation are calculated in 100 GB blocks and billed on a separate invoice. Bandwidth overage fees are non-refundable. Free shared-hosting backup arrangements do not extend to those infrastructure services or custom solutions. A file transfer or download request carries a separate flat processing fee of USD30.
